Mamechiyo stirred another passion of me. Traditional dress. As a little girl there was nothing I loved more then dressing up. As a princess of course. Always looking at fairy tale pictures and dress dolls (like Barbie) and the traditional Dutch dress dolls, dreaming away.This weekend I visited my father and went to the costume museum "De Gouden Leeuw" drooling over all the Friese and Groningse klederdrachten.
These where my favourites as a child... and will be next for kimono ^_^

Yes, Fries or Gronings, said the description. It is hard to tell the difference between the two ^_^
It is so fun to dig up an old passion and to discover things you learned, but kind off forgot... Costume history is so rich! I whish I could buy all the books in the world and all costumes too... ^_^
