Vanity...2...

Finally I dressed in kimono again!
I needed some distraction from... everything, and what better then kimono? As Halloween has passed, and is not celebrated where I live, it is not a Halloween costume... but it is a dress up hihi
Last week a new kimono arrived at my house, a blue omeshi with gold and silver interwoven maple leaves, chrysanthemums and Buddhist key pattern. She is lovely! I love the shade of blue... duh...
And she's pretty long so good for me. Again the sleeves are too short, but I guess I'll just start accepting that as a fact, vintage kimono are too short in the sleeves! OK
I paired her with my orange painted obi , yummy I look like fall... I do have a kimono that has even better fall shades, but, maybe tomorrow...
First I paired it with my also new black/grey-ish obi age and jime set, but that gave me a bit of an funeral feeling, and that with that bright obi! hihi

So I looked for my purple obi jime and I like that better, but there

should be a perfect one..? Yes maybe but for now I could not find one, I do feel a little lazy too *blush*
I love woven kimono! To bad they are so scarce... I mean, long enough and in good condition, this one has stains too, but she's good enough ^_^
Too bad I still didn't finish my orange nagajuban, I should have before the fall, I am so lazy sometimes *sigh* But that one would have looked better then the white... a well.

This outfit is stunning! I recently received a beautiful indigo komon and I've been trying to work out what colour obi would look best with it - I think I'll give orange a try. I have a nice reversible obi coming over soon also - it is brown on one side and gray on the other with gorgeous embroidery...I'm hoping the brown side will look good with the kimono.

As Chrome said - blue really does suit you - you look gorgeous dressed like that.
