Sayagata

Another antique, or at least vintage set.
The silk is soft as a breeze, really amazing and the pattern is done with real shibory, not that I mind the "faux" variation, but the real thing is something special indeed.

I have no idea what the pattern on the kimono is seems like some kind of plant...

The haori has bold sayagata, or inter-locking swastika pattern on it.

And having fun with a samisen, which, as a 100% a musical being, I do not play
It's my shishi lion obi again, this time right side ^_^

Wow, what a beautiful shibori kimono, you are very lucky.
I found a link to a shibori video on youtube the other day, you might find it interesting. It shows how it's tied, and dyed, this is the link.

Oh! This outfit is perfect in every way!

So much shibori, but...it doesn't look like too much. I think the colours and patterns work really well in harmony together, rather than fighting.

Thanks for the link Jane, it's always good to see how things are done.

And thank you Naomi, not all the credit goes to me, the kimono and haori where in one tatoushi together, so the coordination was made already, they where made for each other. That's also why I bought them (at the store where I work) because otherwise they would have been sold sepperatly and that would brake my hart ^_^
